Anri Sala – No Window No Cry – Tokyo
Anri Sala – No Window No Cry – Tokyo
The artist wanted to replace a glass of the iconic building of the french-japanese Institute in Tokyo.
The new glass is distorted by a bubble that will be used to let the hand of the visitor who plays the music box stuck on the glass itself.
In parallel, to the gallery Kaikiki a copy of the window was exposed.
With a master glassmaker we deformed the glass, we built the copy of the frame and with a company specialized in music boxes, we produced music boxes with the melody of Should I stay or should I go of group Clash.
